Lynx or bobcat?
Doug Homan, formerly
with the Division of Wildlife,
confirmed this
is a bobcat for the
following reasons: its habitat, it
doesn’t
have a black tipped tail,
both bobcats and lynx have tufts on
the ears
but the lynx tufts are
longer, lynx have larger facial tuft and
longer legs,
and in the fall
and winter bobcats have a grayish pelage
which makes
them look more like
a lynx. This bobcat was spotted Sunday
on Fruitland Mesa, Colorado
