Good Morning Rick!

Happy New Year! Hope you and your family had a nice holiday season. I wasn't able to be with my family over the holidays, but did get some filming done. Mornings were cold and had to dodge a couple storms, though managed to come away with some beautiful footage!

I'm contacting you because I'm just not having any luck trying to pull together the last bit of funding needed to support the final shoot. I need to get back out in the field to follow up on the whereabouts of P25 (puma 25) and P26, and other story developments to wrap-up!

These two kittens born last year are of dispersal age. The same age as P18 when he was hit by a vehicle near the Getty Center along the 405 freeway, and the young male gunned down in Santa Monica last May.

As you can imagine, I'm really eager to get back out in the field with biologists to complete filming, and to be able to start post production early February to bring this compelling story to life! All that is needed is the additional $1,500 (tax deductible) to cover the cost of camera rental, production insurance, film, and camping fees.

The Liberty Canyon wildlife crossing is the only real hope lions have for a future in the Santa Monica Mountains. P25 and P26 are kittens born from first order inbreeding. And this cycle will perpetuate unless they have a way north to reach new genetic material.
