There is no question that allowing "nightlighting"(hunting coyotes at night with lights) in North Carolina is resulting in an upward rise in Red Wolf deaths..........With the two species in close resemblence, North Carolina has upped the odds that hunters will mistakenly shoot a Wolf during evening hours hunting when despite the artificial lights, very difficult to distinguish c.rufus(red wolf) from c.latrans(coyote)
