Perhaps the 9,000-some-square-mile Aderondack Park and 1,000-plus-square-mile Catskill Park can be a model for protecting huge areas of wilderness and living in harmony with Nature all around the world, as a significant number of people live in harmony with the wilderness in both areas... already on other continents UNESCO Biosphere Reserves follow the same example, with some forest areas for humans to live in and other roadless completely civilization-free core areas, and a partnership with the local people. Aderondack and Catskill Parks in New York State are two of the world's greatest protected wilderness areas! Also Big Sur is a great example, though Big Sur is helped by its ruggedness!
