The first step has been taken to stop the poisoning of Wildlife in California------The California Department of Pesticide Regulation has put into effect as of July 1 the prohibition of products containing d-CON, the 2nd generation anticoagulant rodenticide sold in stores to consumers..............This law limits super-toxic rodenticide use beyond 50 feet of manmade structures.................. The law does not ban the worst poisons themselves.........They will still be available for widespread use by licensed commercial and agricultural pest-control operators..............We must put pressure to eliminiate their use at this level as well if we have any hope of having a healthy carnivore suite in California and the rest of our 50 states
