Instead of coming out in favor or re-introducing Florida Pumas north of the Caloosahatchee River(it is there that Pumas run into a major highway blocking easy natural re-introduction), the Florida Fish and Wildlife folks make the inane statement that "THEY'RE PRODUCING ENOUGH KITTENS THAT THEY'RE ABLE TO KEEP UP WITH ALL THE MORTALITY(car collisiions reach a record 20 puma deaths in 2014) THAT OCCURS".............Wow,,,,,,,,,,,,as is almost always the case, state biologists are either brainwashed into not taking up the cause for larger Puma habitat or too scared for their jobs due to pressure from "Higher-Ups" to keep their mouth shut and follow the business/ranching/farming/hunting protocols that dictate how carnivores are to be "managed(reduced greatly) in their given state...............As many of you readers know, there is a U.S.F.W federal mandate stating that there are to be at least 3 separate Puma populations of some 100+ individuals spread across the southeast state for recovery of these "Cats" to be deemed "sustaining into the forever".....................Well short of that paradigm and way of thinking we are on this Thanksgiving Saturday, 2014
