A "Fist-Bump" for outgoing Illinois Govenor Pat Quinn who made the common sense and conservation oriented decision to not allow Bobcat hunting and trapping in his state............The "Bobs" are a recovering species and do not yet inhabit the full range of viable Illinois landscape...........Our knee-jerk instinct to immediately hunt and trap a species simply because it has rebounded to a certain extent is nonsensical with Politicians always seeming to bend to the will of Agricultural,Business and/or hunting interests without proper science minded review of how the particular animal in question works within our natural systems.............Way to go Pat,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Let us hope that incoming Govenor Bruce Raunner will be like minded when it comes his turn to review this issue should it come to desk somewhere down the line in his tenure
