A constant fight to get 100 Mexican Wolves into the designated Arizona/New Mexico designated protected area with Ranchers protesting the impending release of a new breeding pair of wolves..........If the "soft release of this pair goes well, it will be a beautiful thing that augments the gene pool of the current Mexican Wolf population as the female gives birth to pups..........After years of either static or declining wolf numbers, the Mexican subspecies actually has a chance to create a sustaining population in this part of their historical range, now that the USFW Service has recently expanded their critical habitat
