Since we Posted some thoughts on NOT DOTTING EVERY MOUNTAIN AND FARM WITH WINDMILLS AND SOLAR PANELS, let us do another dive into the energy arena, CLEAN COAL(not).............The U.S. Department of Energy has awarded a $1.9 million grant to a research team led by the University at Buffalo............ The researchers will seek tp develop a membrane to remove carbon dioxide, which makes up the vast majority of greenhouse gas emissions, from gasified coal before its combustion...........How expensive to accomplish?.............And even if a "miracle cleansing" cure is developed that is cost effective, can coal really be clean when we chop off mountains, dump the debris in our streams, kill off life in entire watersheds?
