Under the bounty system, from 1907 until 1963, California hunters collected from $20 to $60 each for slaying 12,461 mountain lions.............In 1990, California protected Mountain Lions from being killed by us humans............Today, California has the 2nd least number of human/Puma conflicts of any of the Western States that has a "Lion" population"..........Why do the other Western States still allow Pumas to be hunted?.............Food for thought on this Saturday morning-------"We're not just afraid of predators.
