The key to helping animals evolve quickly in response to climate change could actually be their predators, according to a new University of British Columbia study........ The research revolved around a small crustacean known as the.Water Flea or by its Latin name Daphnia.................... Water Fleas are abundant in healthy lakes around the world..................In the test conducted, the Fleas were subjected to increased water temperatures..............The researchers found that the Fleas evolution to handling warmer temperatures sped up with the presence of their key predator, a Fly larvae..............The Fly Larvae preferred to eat those Fleas that found it difficult to cope with the warmer water temperatures..............A "circle of life" finding that suggests that the healthiest natural systems are those that contain all the "cogs and wheels"
