Rick: In addition to foxes being out/seen during the day sometimes it's for other reasons than food. During the day they tend to nap, more than go into prolonged sleep as we do so they are up and about. In addition, they often are seen out when they are moving to a new nap-site. Overall, when they have a large litter, the foxes do put in extra time hunting.
