Dear Rick,

I am so sorry I've been out of touch lately, but I've been in the field a lot since May, often with very spotty Internet access (e.g., in Kenya or in Waterton). When I am back in town, I spend a week catching up on work and then have to leave again. Now things should be settling down for me for the winter. I also haven't written anything since June, but I just finished a piece today for the Huffington Post about the reintroduction of free-ranging bison in the American West. Here is the link to that blog.
