Helen McGinnis(Cougar Rewilding) shares my interest and curiosity regarding how far East Bison ranged prior to European contact as well as how long they persisted into the early Colonial period......Helen supplied me with John Guilday's 1963 article entititled: EVIDENCE FOR BUFFALO IN PREHISTORIC PENNSYLVANIA...........Guilday concludes that it is likely that Bison were present in Western Pennsylvania in small numbers right on up through the end of the 18th Century
