While the cartoons below depict the errant laws and morays that govern how carnivores are hunted in Alaska, so many of our state wildlife agencies(regardless of their printed literature on the subject) do not see carnivores as wildlife,,,,,,,,,,,,but rather as vermin-----baiting, hounding, nighttime spotlighting, no bag limits all reinforcing that perspective,,,,,,,,,,,,Allowing hunting seasons that penetrate into annual breeding and pup/kitten/cub birthing and caretaking periods strike me as particularly barbaric and devoid of all good science on the subject...............The only way it changes is if the general population stops complaining about this paradigm and instead steps up with a true Game Agency Funding Plan that takes some $$ out of all of our pockets, rather than relying solely on hunter tags to "run the show".............Something to reflect on and discuss around the Thanksgiving table today--Best to everyone for a fun holiday weekend ahead
